1. Home Course

We discussed changing the home course.  We agreed to the fact that we should shop for a better experience for our group.  We will play our home course every three weeks and our tournaments will be held there as well.  In return we will work on getting a weekend deal every week we play for our members - this is important that we offer you something for your membership.  We are looking for such commodities and amenities as free range balls, food and possibly alcohol price breaks all inclusive for Saturday weekend golf.

Three courses we voted upon: The Officer listed is responsible for negotiating the deals on these courses

1) The Maverick (John Hernandez)
2) The Hawk (Mike Linares)
3) Canyon Lake (Steve Van Wert)

We felt these courses had more flexibility for negotiation.   We will weigh all offers and a decision will be made once all the information and offers from each course are clear.

2. Maximum Yardage to be played

The Maximum yardage that ITG will play every week is 6500 yards or less.  Therefore anything over 6500 yards will not be played. We feel this gives everyone an even test of golf and we want all golfers to play from the same tee box to enjoy each others company.

3. Weekly Fee

Starting the week after the September Tournament the Weekly fee of $1.00 for each round has changed.  Please read this to understand the method.  To cut it short every member will be required to pay a weekend fee of $25.00 for six months play.  This is kitty money for the tournament held every March and  September. You will still pay $1.00 per week but on Tournament day you will be required to pay the difference of $25.00 minus the $1.00  rounds you played during the season. This will ensure every member pays the same amount.

Let's say you play 15 rounds per 6 months you would owe $10.00

The other guy plays 5 rounds he owes $20.00

Each member pays $25.00 and both have paid in equal amount to the tourney's.

Why $25.00? We took the average # of weeks our die hard players are playing and looked at more then 18 of our members that play "less" then 8 rounds.  We felt this was an even distribution of tournament funds.  We as officers do not want a few of our players financing our tournaments.  We have always strived to make this a fair and fun league and this makes the $1.00 weekly donation "Fair".  You still "Must" Play 5 Saturday rounds in 27 weeks to be eligible for the tournaments.  But the Tournaments will be bigger and better with a little more funds when everyone is contributing the same amount.

4. Officer Elections

Officer Nominations will occur on Jan 1. 2009 and will be held on the website.  Blind voting will be done. We are looking for some other officers to carry on the Tradition so please be thinking what you can do to help the club. If you would like to be considered and Officer and wish to inject a new spirit into the ITG this is your chance.

Officers Elections will be held two weeks later then officially he will take his post on Tournament day March 2009.

5. Membership Dues

Membership Dues will remain at $20.00 per 6 Months, this gets you handicap tracking and entry into the tournaments which will be bigger and better!

6. Check and Balance

All monies spent will be checked off by the President of the Club.  Which will be done by a request from the Treasurer of the club.

7. Guests & Children

Children under the age of 18 are not to attend the ITG outings on Saturday.  Anyone over 18 may play with the ITG as a guest.  A guest is a player that is considered to potentially  be a future member.  Also, Guests may be visiting relatives, friends or out of town guests visiting San Antonio - No Children under 18 years of age.

8. Skins Calculations

Skins calculations will move from %80.00 of Net to a Full %100.00 Net.

9. Points Cup Challenge and Low Net Rounds Contest

Points cups challenge and low net rounds will be awarded every tournament (6 Months) and will end the week prior to the tournament.  Previously only the cups point was a six month award and Low Nets was awarded every year.

10. ITG Brief rules of golf

Jesse Flores will re-write and edit the ITG Brief rules of golf to include the things you need to know when play with the ITG to speed up play on the course.  We will post this so you can read it.

11. By Laws

When a new home course is selected Mike Linares will be responsible for making the need changes to the by laws.
